When Should You Split a PDF?

Large PDFs are hard to share. Email services limit attachment size, and a long document is hard to read when you only need a few pages. A PDF splitter solves both problems. Here are the most common reasons people split, extract, or rearrange PDF pages:

Is It Safe to Split a PDF Online?

Many online PDF tools upload your file to a server. BixTools works differently. Your PDF is opened and processed inside your own browser, so your document never leaves your device. We do not store, share, or read your files. That makes it a safer choice for contracts, IDs, bills, and other private papers.

Pages from your PDF are copied exactly as they are, so text, images, and layout stay the same. When you finish, you can rename the file and download it right away.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this PDF splitter really free?

Yes. BixTools is completely free. There is no signup, no watermark, and no limit on how many PDFs you split.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. Your PDF is opened and processed inside your own browser, so the file never leaves your device. We do not upload or store your documents.

How do I split a PDF into separate files?

Add your PDF, turn on the split option, and choose how many pages each file should have. For example, choose 2 to get a new file for every 2 pages. Click Create, then download each file or all files as a ZIP.

How do I delete pages from a PDF?

Move your mouse over a page and click the bin button that appears. On a phone, tap the page first, then tap the bin. The page is removed from the new PDF and your original file stays unchanged.

How do I reorder or rearrange PDF pages?

Press and drag any page to a new position. On a phone, press and hold the page for a moment, then drag it. The page numbers update as you move it.

Can I add photos or other PDFs to my document?

Yes. Click the Add files tile at the end of the page grid and choose PDFs or JPG, PNG, or WebP photos. They are added at the end, and you can drag them to any position. Each photo becomes its own page.

Can I rename the new PDF?

Yes. Type any name in the File name box before you download. The ending -bixtools.com.pdf is added automatically.

Can I split a password protected PDF?

Not yet. Please remove the password first, then add the file again.

Will splitting reduce the quality of my PDF?

No. Pages from your PDF are copied as they are, so text, images, and layout stay the same. Photos you add are fitted to an A4 page and may be slightly compressed to keep the file small.
